Yeah, most of the songs really didn't stick out to me.

Hoping those last two tracks stand out like how Caught Dead and Coffin nail did on GAWM.

I enjoyed the samples of those last 2 songs, and the lyrics to Fear Hate Love are really good. I do wish that some of the songs were a little longer though.

like the album. has to grow on me though. i caught myself not realising that i had listen to like 3 different songs in a row. kinda similar. but that happened with my first listening while at work.

the bonus songs are nice too. fear hate love being the one that stands out. kickass

Falling Apart & Gravity are my top tracks according to iTunes. I'd say that's accurate.

After listening, I don't believe this album is all that great. Musically, yeah, it's a step in the right direction. Man, there's so many...EH songs on here. Didn't have this issue on The Connection.

You guys are saying Devil is their best song? Really? I thought it was kind of flat. Gravity was the only real stand out to me. Every other song...Was just filler to me besides Just as Broken as Me and F.E.A.R.

Kind of disappointed, actually.

Because the cd isn't too long its easy to breeze through it. However, I feel given time you get a greater appreciation for how each track stands out. Quite simply I love it, sounds AMAZING in the car not uncommon to get glances stopped at red lights.

The only 2 quick things I didn't like was the pairing of "Love Me Till It Hurts" and "NHTSG" I understand why they did it, but I feel having them together takes away from 2 fantastic songs.

The end has bothered me also, CD starts off fast, kills in the middle, then the end is kinda thrown together. Devils might have been the better choice to close out the cd, but I understand the band likes to end on high/positive note and Warriors checks both boxes. The bonus songs definitely give the album a better ending, but only hardcore PRoach fans anticipate the bonus songs and are mainly missed by the mainstream contingent. Warriors might have been a better bonus song as it's a Prodigy homage, but because it features a special guest bringing in fans of a different genre you can't do that.

I would probably have moved "Love Me Till It Hurts" after "Gravity" kept the rest the same and used "Hope for the Hopeless" as the closer, leaving "Fear Hate Love" as a sole bonus.

1. "Face Everything and Rise"
2. "Skeletons"
3. "Broken as Me"
4. "Falling Apart"
5. "Never Have to Say Goodbye"
6. "Gravity" (featuring Maria Brink of In This Moment)
7. "Love Me Till It Hurts"
8. "War Over Me"
9. "Devil"
10. "Warriors" (featuring Royce da 5'9")
11. "Hope for the Hopeless"

You take the tracks to 11(Spinal Tap), don't piss off Eminem, and have "Gravity" smack dab in the middle.

Probably one of the better reviews I've read yet. Will I be seeing you in SF?

Dude I've been terribly busy, it might be like the Ace of Spades show where I barely made it. Was thinking of skipping and going to Las Vegas, however for nostalgia purposes I wouldn't mind catching them at the Warfield again, it's been about 12 years.

The tracklisting was slightly bothering me too. So I completely agree with how your order would have gone. This is honestly the only thing I'd change about the album (other than maybe not having Maria sing a verse in Gravity? I'm not the biggest fan of her voice, but maybe it'll grow on me. But when Jacoby comes in right after her... SO GOOD.)

Otherwise, I think FEAR is an incredibly beautiful album from start to finish. It really is fantastic to me, and I'm struggling to find the right words to exactly describe how I feel about it! I'm just so proud of the boys for this.

I'm personally thoroughly enjoying it. I would consider it a more mature slow burner than the last couple of albums, i can feel it growing on me on every listen. Not 100% what I was expecting, but in a good way. Less "anthemy" and more rock n roll which is what I like.

9/10 for me

I still can't believe they made the top 30 in the Australian charts. Although i'm sure Soundwave heavily promoting them had a lot to do with it.
