Yeah it's a hoax, cos the 21st and 22nd August 2012 is on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. Plus, that's the cheapest, crappiest looking flyer I have ever seen in my life.

Ontario festival date.

Quote:
Bayfest has already announced a full line-up of rock and country shows July 12 - 15. Headliners include Toby Keith with special guest Brantley Gilbert; John Mellencamp with The Sheepdogs and Cowboy Junkies, Iron Maiden with Alice Cooper and Bleeker Ridge, Hedley with Big Wreck and USS, and The Offspring with Simple Plan and Papa Roach.

(They're on the same day as The Offspring and Simple Plan.)
(Simple Plan is still around?)

Sarnia's out by Detroit on Lake Huron. Yay Google Maps!

As you may have read, they're on the Uproar Fest. Because someone somewhere won't let them tour unless either Shinedown, Staind or Buckcherry* is on the bill.

*I love Buckcherry

I'm glad they are on the main stage, but of course rather see them headline and have a longer set. I have little to no interest in seeing Godsmack and Shinedown, and Papa Roach are more popular and successful than Staind these days so they should be on after Staind, especially considering Staind will come off as a complete bore after a highly energetic Roach set. Too bad P.O.D. couldn't join P-Roach on the main stage, but it's cool they are headlining the second stage.

I would like to see them do a proper headline tour across America on their own. No more co-headlining and no more festivals with bands that can't hold a candle to Papa Roach's live performance. I'd like to see them packaged with different bands at least. I still don't know who they'd be a good match with though. I mean I wasn't into Jet but at least it wasn't Hinder again and was something different and experimental lineup-wise. Social Distortion brought out acts like Chuck Ragan and Frank Turner who are nothing like Social D but yet still fit on the bill. Something like that was what I was thinking of. Or if we're gonna go way back, Anger Management. Not saying they should go out with Eminem, but acts that are all over the place yet somehow fit together like that tour did. This post was vaguery but I know what I mean.

I hear ya, some variety in the lineup wouldn't hurt. But they will likely be packaged with rock radio acts like the hinders and 3 days graces of the world for the time being. and seeing as they are on eleven seven music I wouldn't be surprised if they tour with Motley Crue and/or SIXX: AM again. Maybe they can have a band like the Lostprophets open for them here in the U.S. since they both have new cd's dropping soon and Lostprophets haven't had much U.S. exposure in years.

Hinder, Three Days Grace + Papa Roach would be a killer line-up for me

i love those 3 bands, but in austria I'm happy when papa roach have at least 1 gig every 2 years...

they were on tour with shinedown, sixx:a.m., hinder, skillet and some other bands, and they all don't
come to europe, because they're not so famous here..i wish i'd live in america..

I would like to see P-Roach tour with Three Days Grace, much more than the other bands they have played with. I'm actually surprised they have yet to be packaged together. But yeah this has all mainly been in the U.S., if they do team up with the same bands again it should be in other countries that haven't had the same package tours.

This has to suck royally :( Everyone else in the same boat just ignore my remotely complain-y tour posts.

Maybe I'm in denial about who Roach's demographic is. They should just tour with Buckcherry all the time. Like Billy Joel and Elton John.

But yeah, at least do headliner shows. There was Raid The Nation last year but it seemed so short. Also, I'm getting accustomed to seeing bands lately that are doing around 20+ songs a night with 3 or 4 songs that change each set. With these co-headlining sets Roach is down to about 14 songs and so they're forced into the same songs every time. Obviously they gotta cover the hits, of which they have a lot now. By the time they get through those, they've got no more room left for wildcard stuff.

More than likely I'll be going to the Chameleon Club one. It's been too long since I attended a Roach show. Need to get back in.

I NEED them to play headline shows after the uproar shows, I don't wanna spend 8k to see them as a support act.

I'm at the point where though I love them, I can't take any more pricy tours to see them do 40 minutes at an arena where if you want to be GA you gotta do VIP packages or some such bullshit. I was fine with CrueFest (which happened before these VIP packages really started becoming the norm). But that was cus I liked all the bands (aside from Trapt). However, the Nickelback tour made my soul cry.

Loz- 8K? Are you serious? :o
